His students contintually win scholarships in local festivals and several have gone on to study at Indiana University, The University of Toronto, Sir Wilfred Laurier University and The University of Western Ontario. Bevan received numerous scholarships for treble voice, as well as the Don Wright Vocal Scholarship. He maintains a private studio as co-director of the Victoria Academy of Music. He has appeared at the Stratford Festivals and has also directed a number of musicals and operas in London. Bevan adjudicates throughout Canada and is presently teaching instrumental and choral music for the Thames Valled School District.
