O quam suavis est

Source: Antiphon for the Magnificat at Second Vespers, Feast of Corpus Christi.

O quam suavis est, Domine,
spiritus tuus;
qui ut dulcedinem tuam in filios
pane suo suavissimo de caelo
Esurientes reples bonis,
fastidiosos divites dimittens inanes.
Oh, how sweet. Lord, is your spirit:
That you have showed your goodness
to your children
through your very own bread
sent down from heaven.
The hungry you fill with good things,
while sending the scornful rich
 away empty.
