Nunc dimittis
(Luke 2: 29-32)
| Secundum verbum tuum in pace: Quia viderunt oculi mei salutare tuum. |
O
Lord, according to Thy word in peace: Because mine eyes have seen Thy salvation, |
| Quod parasti ante faciem omnium populorum, Lumen ad revelationem gentium et gloriam plebis tuae Israel. |
Which Thou hast prepared before the face of all people; A light to enlighten the Gentiles and the glory of Thy people Israel. |
|
Gloria Patri, et Filio, |
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. |
